Thread Sealant

Brake and Clutch Cleaner is an aerosol cleaning spray, that is used to dissolve any oil and grease that is present on fittings. The cleaning spray is for use on pipework components prior to the thread sealant being applied - this is to ensure that joints are clean and dry so that the best possible bond is created with the sealant. The cleaner comes in a 400ml aerosol can with clear instructions printed on the back.

Loxeal 11 Sealant Activator is a solvent based activating spray, for flanged or threaded joints, which cleans, degreases and speeds up the cure time. After applying the pipe sealant to the male end, spray the sealant activator on the female end and a cure time should be established between 20-120 seconds.

Loxeal 55-03 Thread Locker is an anaerobic methacrylate adhesive designed for the thread locking of nuts and bolts of all types that may require dismantling. The Loxeal 55-03 thread locking sealant is available in a tool-box handy size bottle and a single shot sachet that can be thrown away after use.

Loxeal 55-03 thread locker still cures effectively when applied onto oily surfaces, and its sealing properties remain unchanged between -55°C to +200°C.

Loxeal 18-10 Pipe Sealant is an anaerobic methacrylate adhesive that is easy to dismantle using hand tools once set, replacing the need for PTFE tape. This thread sealant is designed for the sealing of metal threaded pipe joints on equipment that may need to be removed from the installation for maintenance or replacement. For example, sealing hoses into pumps and nozzles as serviceability is required.

Loxeal 18-10 pipe thread sealant is shock and vibration resistant, and its sealing properties are unaffected between -55°C to +150°C. Its thixotropic property prevents migration from thread of the seal before or during curing, and easy dismantling is assured even after years.

PTFE Tape is a cost effective method of sealing joints and pipework with course threads. It is used within a variety of industries by engineers including fuel tank manufacturers and plumbing and heating installers. PTFE thread sealing tape is excellent at defeating friction, and when used on tapered pipe joints, performs a lubricating function that allows the threads to be easily screwed together.
