NTS ClearFlow De-Silter 5000 Lamella Water Settlement Tank

    Availability Built to Order
    Price £10,500.00 £12,600.00 inc VAT
    Flange Size
    Cover

The Clear Flow De Silter Box is specifically designed to provide effective separation of suspended solids (silt) from water being pumped from ground sources such as construction sites, rivers, bore holes etc.

Pumped water passes through the De Silter via a Lamella plate box which separates the solids contained within the water allowing them to drop into the discharge chamber below which can be easily emptied at ground level without the need to take the unit offline like conventional settlement tanks. Making them more suitable for applications where continual operation is required.

The Lamella plate box also helps to separate oily residue from the silt forcing it to float on the top of the contained water and can easily be removed by adding a skimmer pillow or similar absorbing mat. The Lamella box is easily removed and cleaned if required.

Four low level lash down points for ease of strapping whilst in transit.

    Available with 4” – 6” or 8” flanged connection. NP16 Flange Type.

Four low level lifting points allowing easy positioning.

Full length fork lift pockets for easy positioning / loading.

    Settlement Tanks

    Quality Manufactured Water Settlement Tanks

Anyone wishing to discharge silted water must process it. A settlement tank is usually the most effective and efficient way to do so. There are considerable penalties for releasing polluted water into sewers, rivers, streams, lakes and other waterways. Designed to handle large volumes, settlement tanks ensure compliance with Environment Agency guidelines PPG1.

Northern Tank Store manufactures a range of industry-leading settlement tanks in various capacities that allow for effective treatment of water at different flow rates. Our range includes tanks with baffle plates and lamella plates for optimised removal of sediment and other contaminants.

What Are Settlement Tanks Used For?

Typical applications for settlement tanks include construction, civil engineering, landscaping, agriculture, quarrying, tunnelling, drilling, utility works and pumping out wastewater from sites and properties.

In each scenario involving a standard settlement tank, a pump is fitted to the inlet pipe with water passing through internal chambers as silt is captured. Sediment and contaminants then further settle via gravity from the slowed-down water for extraction after a defined time period.

Lamella settlement tanks provide maximum performance with a small footprint. They can be stacked upon each other for extra capacity. Used in a variety of applications including industrial wastewater, food processing and recycling operations, a tank with a lamella separator divides settled sediment which can be extracted via a removable hopper. A lamella settlement tank does not need to be taken offline for pumping out as standard settlement tanks do.

Selecting The Right Size Settlement Tank

The key thing to consider when choosing a settlement tank is that it must be the correct size for the volume of water that it will handle and discharge while taking into consideration the quantity and type of sediment suspended within the water. The smaller the particle sizes, the longer they will take to settle out and the greater the volume of water, the larger the capacity of the tank lagoon required.

Settlement Tanks From Northern Tank Store

Our range of settlement tanks feature all-steel construction, industry-standard inlets and outlets, and lifting points for mobility. We know that lead times can be critical when water becomes a problem on-site, and we can supply standard sized settlement tanks quickly or design bespoke options for specialist projects.

We also stock a wide range of tank accessories and fittings including flowmeters, connection pipes and hoses, and particle filters. Require advice on the best settlement tank option for your needs? Our experts are on hand to discuss your needs including choosing the right size of settlement tank. Get in touch to find out more.
