Static AdBlue Tanks
If your fleet uses Adblue then you’ll know that running out is not an option. Safer and cleaner than drums and IBCs, AdBlue storage tanks mean you can save money by buying in bulk.
What Type And Size Of AdBlue Tank Do I Need?
AdBlue should always be stored in a tank designed especially for purpose. Most commonly, AdBlue tanks are made from inert plastic - usually non-corrosive polyethylene - for safe storage and to avoid contamination. All our AdBlue tanks comply with industry standards and are bunded for safety.
AdBlue degrades quickly if not stored in optimal conditions and if it becomes contaminated it can cause damage to vehicles or equipment. AdBlue can be stored for a relatively long time if kept correctly. Kept in a sealed container with the temperature maintained between -6C and 25C it will typically have a shelf life of 12 to 18 months.
AdBlue consumption varies by machine but commercial vehicles might typically use 4 to 8% of per total fuel utilisation, agricultural and construction equipment 5 to 10% and buses and coaches perhaps 5% dependent on the routes they regularly run.
Our static AdBlue tanks come in a range of sizes from 1,340 litres right up to 10,000 litres. The size of AdBlue tank you require will depend on your usage, frequency of refilling, the space available and a consideration of cost savings to be achieved from buying different bulk quantities.
AdBlue Tanks & Dispensing Systems
AdBlue tanks are fitted with delivery hoses and pumps. Upgrades on hoses and AdBlue pumps are also available. Some AdBlue tanks come with flow meters and gauges, or these can be purchased separately if not. AdBlue dispensing systems have a different sized nozzle than those for diesel tanks to avoid the possibility of incorrect fueling.
