This Horizontal, cylindrical bulk diesel tank with a double skin design is constructed from mild steel plate to BS EN 10025.

The inner tank provides the required storage area, whilst the outer tank forms the required bund with capacity of 110% of the total liquid being stored. The tank vent is piped into the bund and then to the atmosphere further reducing the risk of spills in the event of overfilling the tank.

These tanks are fitted with steel base supports to eliminate ground contact with the tank base.

This Cylindrical fuel tank can be supplied with either a lockable fill point cabinet or full size inset cabinet to house any ancillary equipment fitted with lockable steel or roller shutter door.

Tuffa's fire-protected oil tanks come fitted with an integral bund as standard and are LABC Certified. This means they can be located within 1,800mm of a window, shed and flue outlet, or within 760mm of a non-fire rated boundary (eg. wooden fence)

Tuffa's Steel Bunded Fire-Protected Oil Tanks must be installed to building standards.

Fire Protection

Domestic: 

30 minute fire protection – install a domestic tank adjacent to buildings and boundaries

60 minute fire protection – install a domestic tank inside an uninhabited building such as a garage (pending installer/inspector approval)

Non-Domestic:

60 minute fire protection – install a non-domestic tank adjacent to buildings and boundaries

Tuffa’s fire protected oil tanks serve as an alternative means of compliance when compared to traditional fire barriers. Tuffa’s fire protected tank system has LABC certification proving compliance with local authorities across Britain. However, it is the responsibility of the Competent Person installing the tank, or the building inspector certifying the installation, to ensure a site-specific risk assessment has been conducted.

30 minute fire protection - Enables the installation of an oil tank a minimum of 300mm from other buildings and structures. Where access is required, then a minimum distance of 600mm is required.

60 minute fire protection - Enables the installation of an oil tank within a garage or other internal space where it is impractical to install the tank externally to the building. The tank must be installed in an uninhabitable area (e.g. a garage or outbuilding), at the lowest possible level in the building or structure. Additionally, the tank must be installed a minimum of 300mm from other internal walls and structures or 600mm where access is required.

The TEBT13850 Bunded Diesel Tank comes as standard with a secure, sumped lockable cabinet which is fitted with a steel door. All of our tanks are manufactured from high quality mild steel plate to BS EN 10025. This Diesel Dispensing Tank can be equipped with almost any equipment required, so is suitable for almost all installations.

The outer tank holds a minimum of 110% of the inner tank to comply with all current legislation & comes with a 10 year guarantee, though if properly maintained, all of our Fuel Tanks are built to last over 30 years.

This 13,000 litre Steel Diesel Tank can be be fully bespoke built, whether it's a different inlet / outlet, higher flow pump, hose reels or even a split compartment to allow storage of other fluids like DEF within the same tank.
